Teknikum, a Finnish leader in sustainable polymer technology, is making steady progress toward its climate targets set under the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Since committing in 2021, the company has achieved notable results:
- Scope 1 & 2 emissions have been reduced by 29% since 2020, thanks to energy efficiency upgrades, the use of renewable energy, better insulation, and modernized equipment.
- Scope 3 emissions have dropped by 54%, driven by the use of recycled and bio-based materials, such as in TEKNICROSS® railway elements and industrial hoses.
Teknikum is also strengthening supplier sustainability through an enhanced Supplier Code of Conduct and close cooperation to ensure ESG compliance.
